Stoupa Beeches Travelling to Stoupa Stoupa Excursions Greek Cuisine

Stoupa

Stoupa lies on the Southern part of the Peloponnese region of mainland Greece, known as Messinian Mani. A lot less commercialised than some parts of Greece. Stoupa still maintains an authentic Greek atmosphere.

With its backdrop of Blue Mountains sloping down to crystal clear waters, it is truly a special beach resort offering something for everyone:

Stoupa, although boasting many fine beaches, can offer a variety of different experiences. You don’t have to confine yourself to the beach, and you will discover the traditional Greece.

The Mani is a paradise for photographers (see our Photos section for some examples). The light is excellent, with a plethora of vibrant colours. A painting holiday also makes this an ideal area from which to base yourself. There are so many historical sites, castles, wildlife, an abundance of butterflies, lizards, and of course many varieties of flowers.

A walking holiday is also popular with visitors. A book containing local walks can be purchased in Stoupa or Kardamyli. The Mani has a strong reputation for walking, and offers great scenery. The old stone mule paths that linked villages in the days before the car, now offer walkers the chance to walk on a little bit of history.
