Lovely Holiday and Good Hosts

We stayed in the Helios apartments, which were very clean, comfortable and peaceful. Views from Balcony were stunning and the sun set was beautiful.
We spent time travelling into the mountains (very Greek) and little fishing villages, Barry and Wendy lent us a map and told us the best places to visit. Stoupa had lovely sandy beach, with lots of nice tavernas the ice cream parlour did good coffee and ice creams. We thought the sunbeds on the beach and beach towels being provided made our holiday easier.
Barry and Wendy were excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble for them, would recomend them to our family and friends.Thank you for a lovely holiday and we may be neighbours one day.

My stay in Stoupa

I stayed here with my friend in our college half term in April. The accomodation was excellent, clean and very spacious. Kindly Barry lent us a walking book which we used to find our way around the fabulous mountain villages. From our apartment we had the turqoise sea to our front and the beautiful mountains to the back. After walking we could relax on the sandy beaches, eat in a taverna and enjoy the bars at night without too much rowdiness. The accomadation was very cheap staying for a week and Barry and Wendy were the most helpful, fabulous and knowledgable hosts i have met in life! I would without a doubt recommend this to anyone and everyone regardless of your age and intrests it will be much enjoyed!

a really fantastic place for a break

Stoupa is a wonderful destination for a relaxing break. The weather, beach, sea and resort amenities (especially the ice cream parlour!) are superb and there is everything you need both to self cater or eat out. The location of Stoupa and the 'beach bus' mean that day trips to nearby villages are easy and very enjoyable. It was too hot for us to take advantage of the beautiful coastal walks available in the area, but the place is so scenic anyway - we didnt feel like we missed out! We travelled over from Athens on the bus which was easy and straightforward thanks to great help from Barry and Wendy. The 20 minute walk to the beach can be hard in the mid day sun - but we found a simple solution to this as we got a lift up the hill from Barry and Wendy most days! Plus the bakery halfway makes any walking worthwhile. We had a fantastic time, Barry and Wendy are really excellent hosts, always ready to help with anything and the apartment was absolutely perfect. Thanks both for a truly wonderful time! xx

We stayed in Stoupa with Barry and Wendy for one week as part of a three week tour around the Peloponese. Our first time in mainland Greece. We flew into Athens, hired a car and spent the first few nights in Napflion. Brilliant! We then drove over the mountains and into the Mani.The Mani scenery is amazing and in complete contrast to the other two penninsulas. It has beautiful mountains and amazing villages consisting almost entirely of towers. As you drop down into Stoupa the views are stunning, and Barry and Wendys place is an ideal spot from which to explore it all.
Returning from days out, to a cool dip in their lovely pool , (quite a rareity in this area and so essential at this time of year) and then sipping a G and T as the sun sets in their lovely garden, before strolling down to the wonderful Tavernas by the sea just ended every perfect day.
I would recommend this place especially if you like the combination of mounains and beaches as I do, and want to see some of the real Greece. It is also a perfect spot for walking but perhaps not in July and August as it does get very hot.
Barry and Wendy could not be more helpful, and you will leave as friends.I really enjoyed listening to them tell us about the olive harvest and the pressing from the trees in their garden. If you are considering a holiday in Stoupa my advice is just GO! You won't be disappointed.

The most Accommodating Hosts!

I stayed in this apartment with 3 other girlfriends In late April and it stands to be one of the most enjoyable stays I have experienced throughout my travels in Europe. The apartment was adorable, very clean and comfortable. The private patio was the best part which had an amazing view of the ocean. The Beach was about a 10-15 minute walk which was not too far at all. The best part about staying in this apartment however were the amazing hosts! Barry and Wendy were the friendliest people who went above and beyond to make sure that we had a good time. They literally catered to us. My friend lost her luggage and Barrry and Wendy actually went to pick it up for her at the nearest post station. Also, I left my sunglasses behind and they went out of their way to send them back tome all the way in England. They invited us out for dinner and overall, we had just a great time with them. I would definitely suggest this apartment!
